Tigers visit Protectors' den this Saturday !
Neighbours Balestier Khalsa FC visits Home United FC this Saturday evening. Currently at the bottom of the league with only 3 draws, it will be an uphill task when they take on our free scoring Protectors.

The youthful Tigers will take heart from their last performance. A creditable draw against title contender Super Reds FC. They will look to build on that performance against another title contender.

Home United FC comes into this match after a hard fought draw against SAFFC on Monday night. Our Protectors will be looking for a win to end the 1st round of matches top of the league. With injuries to Indra and Valery Heik during the last match, changes can be expected in the starting lineup.
Thankfully, this year Home United FC has got depth in its squad so despite missing the two regulars, they should prove too strong for the visiting Tigers.

Protectors gain point after 2 goals down !

Clash of the titans !
The top two clubs in the history of the S-League will square up on Monday. Home United FC and SAFFC are firing on all cylinders this season. Both teams have performed well in both the domestic league and the AFC Cup competition.

Home United FC, currently tops the league with 8 wins and a draw. SAFFC are close behind with 8 wins and a loss. Home United comes into this game on a winning run, while SAFFC has suffered a blip. They recently lost to the Super Reds in the league and could only draw with New Radiant FC in the AFC Cup.

SAFFC will be looking to get back onto winning ways with a morale boosting win over their biggest rivals. They will however have to do it without their defensive lynchpin Kenji Arai. Kenji has been a rock in defence for SAFFC since his arrival from Japanese side Albirex Niigata. It will be interesting to see how SAFFC copes without him, especially up against an attacking side like Home United.

Home United will look to capitlize on Kenji Arai's absence. This season, they have scored in every match. The attacking trio of Ludovick, Peres and Indra has been terrorising defences and are well supported by midfielders Sharil Ishak and Shi Jiayi.

This match promises to be a cracker ! Come on down to the Chua Chu Kang stadium to witness it. Kick-off is at 7.45pm.

Home Utd look to capitalise on Tampines Rovers' thin backline
Home United FC travels to Tampines Stadium in week 2 for a mouth watering clash. Home United beat Dalian Shide Siwu FC 2-1 in its first match of this season. Tampines Rovers FC started the league with a 2-0 away win at Gombak United FC.

Without the likes of Sead Muratovic, Shariff Abdul Samat, Ibrahim Noh, Razif Mahmud, Tampines will once again look to deploy Mustafic Fahrudin at the back. Tampines are not short of offensive power, even though this season they have lost the services of their top trio in Mirko Grabovac, Peres De Olivera and Noh Alam Shah. The focal point of its attack is now on the shoulders of former Home United forward, Qiu Li. He will be flanked by the dimunitive Aliff Shafaein and speedster Riduan Muhamad. In midfield, they have Thai duo of Sutee Suksomkit and Santi Chaiyaphuak.

Home United FC will look to capitalise on a weakened Tampines with its own offensive power. Home United's midfield quartet of Syed Fadhil, Sharil Ishak, Shi Jiayi and Peres De Olivera are all capable of banging in the goals.

Peres scores on return, Home United FC triumphs against Chinese debutant

Peres De Olivera produce his trademark free kick to score on his return to Home United FC. It brought back memories of his previous stint at the club, where goals from free kicks were a common sight.

Home United FC took the lead in the 24th minute through a Kengne Ludovick goal. On 36th minute, Dalian Shide Siwu FC pull a
goal back from the penalty spot, after Peres had brought down Quan Heng in the box. Wang Liang duly converted with ease. On 40th minute, Peres turned from "villain to hero", when he scored through a freekick.

In the second half, Home United had several chances to add to the scoreline, but impressive goalkeeping from Dalian's custodian prevented that.

Overall, Home United FC showed enough to be among the silverwares this season. On the other hand, Dalian Shide Siwu FC gave a decent debut performance. They should improve once they have settled down.

HUFC lineup: Lionel Lewis, S. Subramani, Valery Heik, Rosman Sulaiman, Juma'at Jantan, Shi Jiayi, Sharil Ishak, Syed Fadhil, Peres De Olivera, Kengne Ludovick, Farhan Farook (Naruphol Romsawa)
